PROMISE-LAND media

Commercial media might tempt one's disposable income with promises of secluded paradise, creature comforts, and total security.  However, one cannot achieve security if one does not know what it looks like.  Announcing a Feminist Anthropocene narrative called Anthropussy, describing a world where the images and sounds broadcasted, are trauma informed, and articulate genuine and intentful solutions.

      I wanted to use this opportunity to advertise my brand of visual compositions.  The footage I use is from a small exhibition I gave to myself, and close friends and family, as a means of self-care, and a departure from the insensitivity and serfdom of commercial galleries and disingenuous treatment by museum curators.

      At face value, I wanted this series to have a more sinister tone, which was something I wanted to manifest into this advertising campaign.  However, I found that using a benevolent score and narrative, I was able to convey a much more progressive meaning.  Furthermore, a series of paintings are not something typically adapted to a commercial medium, so I felt I had to give it cinematic, dream-like themes.

Using these tropes;
  •  A Promised Land for a weary 21st Century,
  • Social proof that art is a guiding force towards human (particularly female efficacy),
  • Guaranteeing that there will be no one harmed in its rebellion,
  • Attracting the sore eyes of a post-modern audience with Saturated images,
  • Humor without self-deprecation,
  • Maintaining authority as if by terms of God,
I wanted to maintain the point of view that a cultural revelation could bring about a paradigm, resembling something like a biblical rapture.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
